Copay shows up at checkout
At checkout, “pay together” is picked just like a card or a wallet. Nothing new for the buyer to install.
Copay — group payments
When a cart is shared, nobody wants to front the full amount: the order stalls, or never happens. Copay adds “pay together” to your checkout — everyone pays their share, you receive the total in one payment.

€570 raised by 4 people, paid to the merchant in a single payment.
How it works
Copay plugs into the merchant's existing checkout without changing how payment works. Here's what the buyer, their friends and the merchant see.

The pool becomes a link to share wherever the group already talks. Contributors don't need to create an account.

Once the pool is complete, the card authorizations are captured and the merchant receives the full amount in a single payout to their Stripe account.
The problem
One payment method has to carry an entire group purchase. For the customer, that means chasing people, doing the math, fronting the cost. For the merchant, the cart sits there — or the payment leaves the checkout.
A place booked for the whole group, but one card to pay for everything — then weeks of getting everyone's share back. The booking waits for someone willing to carry the full amount alone.
Chipping in for a birthday often turns into reminder texts, while whoever paid upfront waits to be paid back. The collection moves to an outside money pot, and the purchase only happens much later.
Splitting a purchase across two cards or two accounts, right at checkout, is almost never possible. So the amount gets capped by what a single card will carry.
